US #160 "whisker monster" :)

Over at the Unscripted Sketches blog  it's time for a new sketch.  Here is my take on the sketch using an image from Kira Nichols called "whisker monster with sign". (Stampotique ofcourse! :)

Sentiment was computer generated and I love this little monster since you can make any kind of sign you want!  Thought this would bring a smile to a friend's face who was a bit down.  I colored the image with copic markers and placed it on some home-made dp scraps.  The flower was just some circles cut and I put this little metal washer on the inside from my stash.  I would also like to link this up to the "frilly and funky" challenge blog to use stencils and masks - :)  TFL Hope you are enjoying the weekend :)

SDC55- Use lots of bright colors

Tough for me sometimes!  I am usually not into very bright colors but I am "getting there"!
New challenge at the STAMPOTIQUE blog and here is my creation:
I started a new art journal.  I seem to have so many stencils and love them with my Stampotique stamps, my inks and paints! I also did a little sewing and printed with a black pitt pen and white uniball.  I used my "strut your stuff bird" and "daisy daisy" stamps from Stampotique.  This is only the first page!  Cant wait to go crazy in it :)  Gotta go check out what the others did here.  I would also like to enter this into the new "frilly and funky blog challenge" to use stencils or masks. Unscripted Sketches #159

Take a look at the new sketch at the US blog #159.

I used an image from a "crafty individuals" miniatures pack and did a little gold sewing.  The buttons are some vintage goodies bought at the antique mall. Oh, and there is a "piggy back" challenge this week.  Use "ink" somewhere on your card.  I stamped the numbers on the side.  Remember, you dont have to add the piggy back, its optional. Join in, there is a new sketch every Saturday.  Here is a look at the rest of the dt creations .

"It's so involved being me"

This is "welcome girl"  #6148 from STAMPOTIQUE.  And...this is how I feel sometimes lol.  I  made this tag so I could use one of my new stencils from Julie Balzers' Creative workshop line- (along with some other random ones).   I absolutely love her blog because the inspiration is awesome.  Art journaling couldnt get any better when you can also add your Stampotique images on your pages and tags!   I used acrylics, copics, white uniball pen and a scrap from an old library card.  The pink ric-rak qualifys me for the current Catered Crop challenge to use ric-rak on your creation.  Sentiment is computer generated. Unscripted Sketches #158 and "Mary"

Hey peeps- good to FINALLY get a post up !  Check out the new sketch challenge over at the US blog.   I used "strut your stuff " bird from Stampotique and  "Sun design".  Dp is BG "PB & J" . The bird is paper pieced and colored with copics. I sewed over a few bits of washi tape.  Sentiment= computer generated.  I plan to use this as a graduation card. I also would like to enter this in the Fab n Funky challenge= use buttons/bows and the Basic Grey challenge =anything goes , just use BG dp.
Next up:  A swap tag!  I play in Tees' tag swap and May's theme is mothers/flowers etc.   I think Mary is a great pic for this theme!  I made this tag for my partner with a freebie image from where...I dont remember.  :(
The tag is sewn with gold shiny thread and placed on some script and flowered papers.  I hope my partner likes it.  I would like to enter this in the Raise the bar challenge " mothers" and my first ever entry to the gorgeous Shabby Tea Room challenge..an inspiration photo and include a rose. :)  TFL
